Commonly known as the “Liquid Facelift” because of its use of injectables such as Botox, Dysport, Juvederm, and Radiesse, this technique allows you to look and feel refreshed with minimal downtime or healing. You can come in during your lunch break and touch up your make up before you leave our office.

Looking youthful starts with the use of Botox or Dysport to relax the muscles that cause wrinkles and furrows on your face and neck. The most common areas for Botox in the Liquid Facelift are the brow area (between the eyebrows), the forehead, the “crow’s feet” wrinkles around the eyes, and the neck, where relaxing the muscle can decreasing jowling and improve the jaw line. By simply relaxing the muscles, several components of a natural looking facelift are achieved. This comprises the first part of what some people call the “fast facelift” and is done with almost no discomfort.

1. What is a Liquid Facelift?
The reason for the word “liquid” in “Liquid Facelift” is because this non-surgical facial rejuvenation is accomplished with a combination of Botox, or Dysport, and fillers, all of which are used in liquid form. Depending on the specific cosmetic needs of your face, any number of different components in the Liquid Facelift might be used. There is no surgery involved in the liquid facelift, and most results can be seen on the day of treatment.

2. Does the Liquid Facelift involve surgery? Do I need general anesthesia?
The Liquid Facelift is a procedure that can be done in the office, without the use of general anesthesia. Depending on the amount of change desired, the procedure can be performed in minutes. In order to make the procedure more comfortable, topical and/or local anesthetics that minimize discomfort may be used. Ice gel packs are also used in order to minimize discomfort. 3. How long will the Liquid Facelift last?
The cosmetic improvement from a Liquid Facelift lasts for a variable amount of time. The duration of improvement depends on a variety of factors, including the product(s) used, the area(s) of the face being treated, the timing of touch-up treatments, and your own aesthetic goals and concerns. In addition, the combination of products (such as Botox with a filler such as Juvederm), may enhance and extend the results that either might achieve alone.
